Principal / Project Engineer
Rob earned his Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin – Madison, and recently received his Wisconsin Professional Engineers License. Rob joined Electric Construction in 1995 as a project engineer. With his knowledge of engineering coincided with his electrician experience prior to joining ECI, Rob has a unique understanding of how it all fits together. Rob is also a member of the Illuminating Engineering Society of North America (IESNA). His association with IESNA has helped ECI become a significant resource for builders and designers in the Dane County area in the realm of Sustainable System Design or “green” designs. Rob’s expertise has helped a number of companies in the area achieve either LEED certification or tax credits due to energy efficient designs.
Principal / Vice President
Rod joined Electric Construction in 1992, as a purchasing agent and in 1999, received his journeyman license. Rod also received his Wisconsin Master Electrician certification that year and has since become a key member of ECI’s management team. Rod’s specialty is design-build work where his talents really shine. Along with his duties at ECI, Rod is also an active member in the Wisconsin Chapter of NECA. He has been a member for the past 3+ years on the Madison Area Joint Apprentice, Madison Area Joint Apprentice Training Trust Fund and Labor Management Cooperative Committees.
Principal / Vice President
Terry joined Electric Construction in 1988 as a material handler. Following serving in the five year IBEW apprenticeship program, he received his Journeyman license in 1994. Terry then worked as a field foreman until early part of 2000, when he achieved his Wisconsin Master Electrician License and started his own electrical company. He owned and operated that company until the latter part of 2004 when due to his success he merged back with Electric Construction and began working in his current position. In the last ten plus years, Terry has maintained an active role in the service department, labor management, customer relations and small project management.
Jay joined Electric Construction in 1999 as a material handler. After graduating from the University of Wisconsin – Madison he moved into the role of estimator and then project manager. He has since successfully managed a variety of projects varying in size and complexity, many of which involve his alma mater. Over the past 10 years, with ECI’s core values in mind, Jay has built a reputation as an outgoing and knowledgeable partner. Whether the job involves installing one outlet or one hundred, he’ll do what he can to help make your project a success.
Josh joined the Electric Construction team as an Estimator in 2008. Upon graduation from the University of Wisconsin-Platteville where he earned his Bachelor's Degree, Josh completed his electrical apprenticeship in 2014 earning his Journeyman license. At that time, Josh assumed a role as a Project Manager and became part of the Electric Construction management team. In this role, he is responsible for: Interfacing with customers to secure projects, planning and defining scope of projects, cost estimating, preparing and managing project budgets as well Business Partnering with current and future customers. Josh is dedicated to providing exceptional customer service and support to meet our customers' needs. His attention to detail and commitment to every project make him a valuable part of the management team.
David joined Electric Construction in 1982, as a 3rd year apprentice and received his journeyman's license in 1984. At this time David became a field foreman until 1992, when he received his Wisconsin Master Electrician license and moved in to the Service Manager role. David's responsibilities require him to oversee our entire fleet of service technicians and the equipment they use. David has also taken on the role of Safety Director for ECI, in which he is very much an advocate for the electricians in the field. He has taken his 30 plus years of knowledge and worked to make safety the number one concern amongst both our management and field personnel.
Jim has been in the electrical industry for over 35 years, including prior experience with a local wholesale company. Jim joined Electric Construction in 1988 as a purchasing and inventory control agent. Jim brings with him an extensive knowledge base of electrical materials. Currently Jim works with purchasing, accounts receivables and account payables.
LeAnn has been with Electric Construction for 13 years, having previously worked at a local accounting firm as their office manager for 24 years. In addition to providing assistance to the owners and project managers, LeAnn's responsibilities include the processing of the company payroll and maintaining the accounting records for Electric Construction.
